Kids are worryingly unfit says new report
New research by sports retailer Decathlon reveals that parents are fitter than their children, with 77 per cent saying they exercise more often.
In the latest findings shared from a survey of more than 7,600 UK adults, kids are the least active family members when it comes to monthly exercise levels, and just 31 per cent of children hit their daily activity targets of 10,000 steps walked per day.
Campers though will be reassured by the Club’s own Real Richness research, conducted in 2012, in which 84 per cent said that camping and getting outdoors is good for a child’s health, and that kids who camp are significantly more likely to climb a tree, make a den outside and fly a kite.
Decathlon has 45 stores in the UK and is well known for its Quechua tents, which often score highly in the Club’s annual Tent Owner Satisfaction Survey.
