In recent years, more and more TV celebrities are turning to motorhomes and campervans for fun and adventure.
From chefs touring the Continent in search of local delicacies, to first-timers surprised at the levels of luxury modern motorhomes offer, campervans and celebs are an increasingly regular fixture on our screens.
Here are just five shows and clips that have made us laugh, wince or envy the presenters and their units.
Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip
This three-part series aired in recent weeks, and sees three famous TV chefs, Gordon Ramsay, Fred Sirieix and Gino D’Acampo on a road trip that takes in each of their homelands. Much of the action takes place inside their motorhome, a posh Pilote A-class, which is as much the star as the chefs themselves – it’s the base for cooking up ingredients and serving up camaraderie.

James Martin and Holly Willoughby on This Morning
Celebrity Chef James Martin gives This Morning’s Holly Willoughby a guided tour of his Bürstner Elegance motorhome, which he uses to tour and attend food festivals. With a Honda scooter in the garage, an outdoor shower and all the mod-cons of a luxury motorhome, it certainly wows Holly: “It feels like a boat,” she gasps. “You’re living the dream!”

Jamie Oliver prepares a salad in the back of his 1959 classic split screen VW camper while it’s being driven round a test track by the Stig. Silly but funny.

Hammond and May go motorhome racing
More fun and games from the Top Gear team: this time its motorhome rallying at the Essex Raceway, with Richard Hammond and James May pitting their wits and driving skills against a selection of touring car stars. While most of the drivers strip out the motorhome fixtures and fittings to make for faster racing vehicles, James May cooks dinner. “Now that’s a pie!” he declares as he removes it from the oven.
