Frequently asked questions
We've prepared a series of answers to the questions most commonly asked by members about the Preferred Dealer Scheme.
If you can't find an answer to your question, please email any queries to email@example.com
How do I redeem my member offer at a Preferred Dealer?
Please present your membership card as proof of membership when visiting one of our Preferred Dealers. Each dealership has different conditions around redemption of their member exclusive offers, but all will insist on seeing your membership card at point of purchase. Visit our Preferred Dealer offers page to explore offers in your region
How will the Club decide which dealers can join the scheme?
We'll be collating all feedback from members about the scheme and its participants over the months, both negative and positive, and will review each Club Preferred Dealer appointment on an annual basis. We also welcome suggestions for dealers we should approach and invite to join the scheme.
How is this any different to the NCC Approved Dealer scheme?
The Club Preferred Dealer scheme complements the NCC Approved Dealer Scheme. The NCC scheme is built around codes of practice and minimum standards dealers must meet; The Club Preferred Dealer Scheme is focused on working with chosen dealers to improve reciprocal communications and marketing to our respective customer bases.
Dealers who've gained NCC Approved Dealer status, or are working towards this, were favoured in our selection process; but we also selected those we had good feedback on from Club members, and who we'd partnered with on various initiatives.
The scheme guarantees our members get relevant and exclusive deals and discounts at Club Preferred Dealers this isn't something the NCC Approved Dealers are obliged to offer our members.
The Club Preferred Dealers will also support our campaigns such as National Camping and Caravanning Week. They will promote the Club in their dealerships.
In turn, those chosen dealers will benefit from promotion via our website, Club magazine, social media, direct mail and e-newsletters.
They also have the opportunity to give their customers benefits such as free camping nights, plus they can use our branding on their own marketing activity.
What about tent campers?
We have discounts for Club members at leading tent retailers Go Outdoors, Cotswolds and Blacks, among other offers. Take a look at our discounts page.
I bet they've just paid you to promote them?
There is no cost to join the scheme; the Club selects the dealers it would like to work with, and each dealer benefits from a reduced advertising rate across the Club's channels.
What about dealers in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland?
We are talking to a number of dealers in Scotland/Wales/NI, and we hope to include more sites in the scheme in the coming months.
