The surrounding area

Scarborough Club Site is an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Coast. The beach is a short cliff-top walk from the site, whilst the town of Scarborough, which has two sandy bays divided by the castle headland, is just 1.5 miles away from the site.

The town’s attractions include the dramatic ruins of a 12th-century castle, the Sea Life & Marine Sanctuary, a miniature railway, Peasholm Park and the Alpamare Water Park. Nearby at Wykeham Lakes is the newly opened AquaPark (featuring “Total Wipeout”). Within walking distance of the site is the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, a popular music venue in the summer. Local walking options include the Cleveland Way National Trail, the North Yorkshire Moors National Park or you can view seabirds such as puffins and gannets at the RSPB nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs. Local cycling options include the ‘Cinder Track’ which runs from Scarborough to Whitby. A regular bus service (9/ 9A) runs every 30 minutes, from directly outside the Club site into Scarborough and runs until early evening.

Whether you’re looking for a nostalgic family holiday, a cultural break, an action packed sporting day out or just a relaxing few days off, Scarborough – Britain’s first holiday resort – has something for you.

Not a bad site, close to Scarborough and some lovely coastal walking trails. We visited in the 6 weeks holidays so I suppose it was busier than usual, but entertainment and banging music still going at 2130 is a bit over the top. Screaming kids everywhere and tearaways on bikes, wont be back here in a hurry

Have stayed at this site 3 times.

This review is for Scarborough

Have stayed at this site 3 times. Seems fairly well run, Scalby manor pub with reasonably priced beer and meals right next door. We were parked right next to the main Scarborough to whitby road so sleep quality in that position is poor. The biggest problem and probably the reason i wont return is the toilets. There are certainly not plenty when the site is anywhere near full. I had to try three times one day to find an empty stall. AND caravan club the flush in the toilets are tweaked to the bare minimum and when it doesnt flush away theres a 10 minute fill time so the next guy has to deal with it. Not this day and age surely

Ok so it was the kids 6 weeks holidays and the site was practically full. Despite booking online, they had trouble finding us a suitable pitch when we arrived, our mo ho is 7.2 metres long. This site was rammed, and most people agreed you didn't really see the wardens, apart from when they were showing people to pitches. They need to walk round, and perhaps stop teenagers kicking leather football's about. There were 2 showers in the block we were nearest to. These were cleaned at 3 in the afternoon, so by the next morning they were in a right mess. (I couldn't be bothered walking to reception to report it) they should be checking these things. Had to queue both mornings and speaking to people, they were going from block to block trying to get a shower. The showers are tiny, old and need updating. This is a huge site, so it is noisy. Although reasonably quiet at night. There is a good fish and chip shop on site. We were booked for 3 nights, but only stayed 2, due to the shower situation. We wouldn't go back
