Overview

Crowborough lies in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Ashdown Forest, the setting for A.A.Milnes wonderful Winnie the Pooh books is on the doorstep.

London is around 35 miles to the north and the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells seven miles north west. While the coastal towns of Eastbourne, Brighton and Hastings are around 20 miles away.

The campsite is well laid out. Trees and hedges divide the site giving a more secluded feel in some areas and some sheltered pitches for tent campers. A good range of on-site facilities are available including toilet and showers, a laundry, disabled facilities and a recreation room.

Woodland walks can be enjoyed direct from the campsite and the neighbouring park and leisure centre and swimming pool provide convenient entertainment for younger family members.

Crowborough town is a ten-minute walk from the campsite and offers shops and a good range of places to eat. Visit Tunbridge Wells for its elegant architecture and the Pantiles – a colonnaded walkway where you can browse, shop, eat and stroll.

For family days out visit Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, Chiddingstone Caste, The Mill Toy and Pedal Car Museum and The Kent and East Sussex Railway. Biddenden is just one of many Vineyards in the area.

If you'd like to go glamping then Crowborough Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Many pitches are sloping and chocks will be required. We have table tennis and a selection of board games in the Recreation Room.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

There are several vineyards in the area including Bolney, Sedlescombe and Chapel Down. Farmers’ Markets are held in the town and Laurel Farm sells local produce. There are several dog-friendly pubs in the area.

We have made friends with several of our fellow campers! and all the Staff have been so friendly and helpful that our extended stay has felt like we have been totally at home at all times. This was a great campsite, although big and smack in the town, we found it very peaceful.

This was a great campsite, although big and smack in the town, we found it very peaceful. we generally go for sites that have no facilities so this was a big change for us. Easy walk into the town although uphill all the way, plenty of dog walks. It was very refreshing to find that all dogs were on a lead as although they are supposed to on all campsite you always get these people that think the rules don't apply to them. We saw lots of rabbits and squirrels by our motor home. The sowers and toilets were clean and tidy. They have a little shop in case you need supplies great campsite great pitches plenty of room between vehicles. nice friendly staff
