Easy to get around

This 120-pitch campsite is well equipped with modern facilities that were recently refurbished including a dog wash area, accessible family room, ball game area, and dog walk. Moreton train station is right next door, which provides a great way to travel around Dorset and see sights such as charming Dorchester, historic Wareham, or even the seaside resort of Poole.

 

Hiking and history
There are numerous scenic walks in the area including the Thomas Hardy Trail and the Roman Town Walk, while the coastline to the south offers some wonderful outdoor opportunities at Lulworth Cove and Ringstead Bay. The village of Moreton has a cosy tearoom, while Wareham and Swanage have many great pubs and restaurants. History buffs will love a visit to nearby Corfe Castle – a stunning hilltop ruin allegedly built by William the Conqueror.

These are hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, suitable for a standard sized tent, caravan or motorhome.


These are jumbo grass pitches with no electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.

 

Worth Noting

  • Mobile phone reception is poor.
  • Site campers receive 50% reduction in green fees at Dorset Golf and Country Club.
  • A train line runs next to the site and so there may be some disturbance from passing trains.
  • The Super Service pitch at Moreton can accommodate x Unit 9m x 5m.
