Cairngorms National Park

Cairngorms National ParkThis is the largest national park in Britain taking in parts of Aberdeenshire, Inverness-shire, Banffshire and five of the six highest mountains in Scotland including Cain Gorm from which the park takes its name. It is a haven for rare plants and animals.

There’s something for everyone, from exploring the abundant wildlife found on the mountainous trails to relaxing on the beach of Loch Morlich. There are many paths and cycle trails for all abilities which are great for the whole family. If you don’t fancy walking to the summit, you can take Cairngorms Mountainthe funicular railway to the top of the mountain where you’ll find a restaurant and breath-taking views.

There are many visitor centres in the park and ten ranger bases to help you plan your visit. There are organised events and activities throughout the year such as group walks, visit the website to find out more.
