With the Lake District fells grazed by sheep, the rain-rich fertile valley floors grazed by hardy cattle and a decent scattering of goat herds in the region it’s no surprise that farmhouse cheese-making is an important part of Cumbria’s farming heritage. A visit to the Cheese Deli in the vibrant market town of Keswick will introduce you to some of the best the region has to offer. I found myself a little slice of cheese heaven when I came across the Cheese Deli in the centre of the town. Tucked just off the Market Square in Packhorse Court, the shop is about ten minutes walk from our glorious Keswick Club Site.
