The Stojo Biggie 16oz is a practical alternative to a disposable coffee cup, or even plastic water bottle.
I’ve been using one for a couple of months now and have been pleasantly surprised at how useful it is – as long as I remember to carry it!
The Stojo Biggie has a disposable coffee-cup feel in the hand and with a capacity of 16 fluid ounces it will take medium-size drink from the popular high-street coffee shops (a ‘large’ at Costa or ‘grande’ at Starbucks – which are, confusingly, medium sized in their respective ranges). However, I’ve mainly used it to carry my own drink into an event or top up with tap water in town.
Unlike most other reusable cups on the market this one will pack down when it’s not in use. The silicone base folds into the sturdy plastic collar and lid. It has a separate heat-protective plastic hand protector to go around the cup in use. You need it to stop the mug collapsing in your hands and squirting liquid out of the spout (I speak from experience), but once you have the hang of it, this is a very practical piece of kit.
Once you’ve finished your drink, you simply fold up the cup, seal the lid, invert the hand protector and slot it into the small cylinder that the cup has become. The cup is then small enough to pop in your pocket, ready for next time.
The Stojo Biggie also comes with a flexible, reusable straw, which is great for cold drinks. It folds up and fits inside the cup for transport too.
The Biggie has a smaller sibling in the 12oz Pocket Cup, with all the features of its big brother in a more compact package, though it doesn’t have a straw.
