Swift backs armed forces charity
Leading British caravan and motorhome builder Swift Group has got behind an armed forces charity to support its good work in helping ex-servicemen and women rebuild their lives through motorsport.
Swift has donated one of its Bessacarr 596 motorhomes to the charity Mission Motorsport to use at events across the UK and worldwide, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex, the British GT at Brands Hatch, Kent, and the charity’s own Race of Remembrance in Anglesey, North Wales in November.
Swift’s Commercial Director Nick Page said: “The work they [Mission Motorsport] are doing is incredible – helping our heroes to make a fresh start. We hope the Bessacarr can bring the team a little more comfort when trackside and contribute to the charity continuing its excellent work.”
For the last six years Mission Motorsport has worked with 1,400 ex-servicemen and women providing 4,500 days of sport and helped 120 wounded, injured and sick service leavers and veterans to find employment.
James Cameron, CEO of Mission Motorsport, added: “With over 100 events planned in 2018 across the UK and beyond, this Swift motorhome will make an enormous difference in our ability to look after our guys and girls attending – we are hugely grateful.”
