One of the largest international camping events of the year will be held in Croatia when the Federation Internationale de Camping, Caravanning et Autocaravaning (FICC) holds its World Camping Festival.
The Zaton Holiday Resort will host the festival, which replaces its annual rally, from 23 June to 1 July.
The festival is open to all members of an Fl CC-affiliated Club – and you can use the code WCF2023 to make use of special festival rates. To allow as many to participate as possible, the organisers have arranged for discounted accommodation to be available for those who cannot travel with their own units.
National Councillor Dave Isbell said: "The World Camping Festival is a chance for FICC member clubs to enjoy a return to international camping together. The festival will still incorporate the ideals of the FICC – freedom, movement and, of course, making the most of the great outdoors. It's fantastic to have these opportunities for people to meet friends, new and old, from a range of backgrounds and societies, and it's a chance to learn about, share and understand each other's cultures."
The festival's activities will include excursions to nearby attractions such as the popular Dalmatian village Zaton, Nin, Zadar, Krka National Park and Kornati National Park. There will also be celebrations to mark the 90th anniversary of the FICC and World Camping Day on 29 June.
The campsite is part of a resort with more than 1,000 pitches with electric hook-ups and great facilities, garden and barbecue areas, playgrounds and a very impressive swimming pool complex, with multiple pools as well as sports and recreational facilities.
Members will be able to book via the Club website once booking details are finalised. Be sure to make use of the Club's partnerships with Allcamps and Eurocamp if you're looking to pitch up en route, and remember the Club can also organise ferry crossings and Eurotunnel bookings.
Dates have also been set for the 60th Europa Rally, which will take place from 25-29 May at the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow, Poland. Book direct with the organisers for a memorable camping holiday staying in a former airbase with easy access to the culture-rich, historical city of Krakow, with excursions and evening activities included. Visit the rally website to find out more.
