Loch Ness Shores to star in ITV show
Film and TV star Warwick Davis will be seen enjoying some traditional Highland hospitality at Loch Ness Shores Club Site on ITV1 this Friday (8 May).
In this week’s episode of his hit series, Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis, the family travel to Scotland on their quest to uncover the best of Britain.
Their trip takes in the Edinburgh Festival, Drumnadrochit Highland Games and a visit to Loch Ness Shores Club Site, where the family dance a ceilidh.
Site owners Donald and Lyn Forbes pride themselves on their reputation for providing Highland hospitality, including a ceilidh for campers staying at New Year.
Lyn said: “When we got a call from a production company asking if we could arrange a ceildih for Warwick Davis and his family, our first thought was that it was a wind up. We can’t wait to see the Scotland episode on Friday.”
Lyn described taking part in the filming as “a dream come true” for Donald, who opened the Club Site in order to share with others the stunning and tranquil location where he grew up.
Donald and Lyn hope the programme will encourage more people to visit the area and stay at Loch Ness Shores Club Site, which is open all year. The site, located on the south-east shore of the famous loch, is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts, those who want to tour the Highlands, or those who just want to relax.
Lyn added: “You never know – you may bump into Warwick Davis and the family, who told us 'We'll be back!'”
