The London Electric Vehicle Company, maker of the iconic Black Cab taxi, has joined forces with converter Wellhouse Leisure on an all-electric campervan – the e-Camper – and we can now reveal preview images.
Based on its VN5 van, produced at its state-of-the-art factory in Ansty near Coventry, LEVC is confident that the vehicle’s combination of zero-emissions capability and reduced range anxiety make it ideal for touring the countryside with a low environmental impact.

Joerg Hofmann, CEO of LEVC, said: “We can see a shift in consumer attitudes, with demand increasing for greener mobility solutions to help protect and improve air quality. Our
new e-Camper offers the perfect solution.”
Based on the VN5, LEVC’s new plug-in hybrid e-Camper has a pure electric range of more than 60 miles, with a total flexible range of 304 miles – that is, it also has a petrol engine which operates as a generator to power the electric motors that drive the wheels.
It has a modern cab area with a 9-inch touchscreen console, a pop-up roof, features an integrated kitchenette that is also powered by electric, offers four sleeping berths and comes with a central folding table.

Early images show that it looks the part too, with a large choice of paint colours, body-coloured bumpers, and smart alloy wheels. In partnership with Wellhouse Leisure, first deliveries of the e-Camper, with a proposed list price of around £62,250 (excluding VAT) will take place towards the end of 2021.
