Cabannon winners collect their prize worth £10,000
The winners of Camping & Caravanning magazine’s competition to win a Cabanon Mercury trailer tent and accessories worth more than £10,000 collected their prize at Club Headquarters recently.
Sam and Kathryn Paxton from Harrogate were the lucky winners of the bumper prize haul, published in July edition of the magazine to celebrate the French manufacturer’s 60th anniversary of making tents and trailer tents.
“We used to camp with a frame tent and now have a Volkswagen T5 campervan,” explained Kathryn, “but it’s no longer big enough to accommodate our family now our three children – aged six, ten and 13 – are getting bigger.”

Kathryn entered the competition on its last day after her brother, also a Club member, sent her the link. She’d already been considering buying a trailer tent to potentially tow behind their campervan.
“This was exactly what we’d been looking for,” said Kathryn.
“We often camp in the Peak District, but for our first outing with the trailer tent we’ll head to a lovely Certificated Site between Harrogate and Wetherby,” said Sam.
Director General Sabina Voysey joined the presentation after which Cabanon’s Francoise Cerulus, and UK dealer Charlie Schofield of Barnsdale Leisure, gave Sam and Kathryn a handover. The prize also included inner tents to sit beneath the fold out beds, a kitchen unit, additional sun canopies, a windbreak, carry rack and fridge box.
