    Walkers, culture vultures, history fans, tranquillity seekers.

    Kick back and relax with a stay at the very pretty Scone Club Site, set in the grounds of the mythical and ancient royal Scone Palace. Known as the home of the Stone of Scone (Stone of Destiny), this palace is full of lore and its grounds are a haven for wildlife including deer, ospreys, and black rabbits.

    Fair game

    This tree-lined campsite is well-equipped with modern features such as a motorhome service point, family shower room, washing machines, and Club Holiday Homes. It’s a peaceful and tranquil space to camp under the stars, and while it doesn’t offer direct access to Scone Palace, it is the ideal place to stay to visit its many events such as the Scottish Game Fair (July).

    Riverside city sights

    The village of Scone is a short drive away and has a few well-rated pubs and places to eat. A little further south is the vibrant city of Perth on the banks of Scotland’s longest river, the Tay. There are attractions here for all the family including Perth Art Gallery, the Black Watch Castle and Museum, and the River Tay Way walking route.

    These are grass pitches with no electric hook-up or other services, suitable for a standard sized tent, caravan or motorhome.

    These are super service hard standing pitches with electric hook-up, fresh water and waste drainage, suitable for those looking for a little more luxury whilst they camp.

     

    WiFi

    100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. More information. 


    Worth noting

    • Upon arrival, do not follow the SatNav. Instead, follow the brown tourist signs for Perth Racecourse and Caravan Site. The campsite is located within the racecourse grounds.
    • No direct access to Scone Palace.
    • Only one car per pitch and visitor parking is limited.

    Scone Palace

    One of Scotland’s most important stately homes, Scone Palace is steeped in colourful history and was once the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Robert the Bruce and Macbeth.

    Scottish Deer Centre

    Explore 55 acres of rugged countryside and meet 13 species of deer, including reindeer, white lipped and the axis deer. Talk to the expert tour guides and they can tell you everything there is to know about deer, as well as the centre’s other animals, such as brown bears, wolves and lynx.
