    Tree-lined tranquillity

    This tree-lined campsite is the picture of tranquillity. It offers a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches – some are sloped so you may need levelling ramps and chocks. The facilities include a family shower room and washing up area, while dog owners will love the wooded walk. The access road, the B3081, is suitable for almost all vehicle types.


    Family-friendly

    Just seven miles away is the New Forest National Park, excellent for walking and reconnecting with nature – keep a lookout for wild ponies. There’s also a great museum at Lyndhurst. There are plenty of family-friendly attractions nearby including the New Forest Reptile Centre, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Splashdown Water Park, and Paultons Family Theme Park. And that’s before you consider the seafront in bubbly Bournemouth, where you can enjoy fish and chips on the beach and watch the sun go down.

    Local area

    New Forest National Park

    Despite its name, the New Forest National Park was originally created in 1079 as a private hunting ground for William the Conqueror. The area boasts open heathland, rushing rivers and rugged coastlines and is an ideal place for a long distance walk or bike ride.

    Bournemouth Pier and Beach

    One of Britain’s favourite seaside destinations, Bournemouth Beach is regularly voted as one of the best beaches in the country. Take a stroll along the golden sand, marvel at the views from the pier and take the zip wire back to the shore.

    Salisbury Cathedral

    For over 800 years, Salisbury Cathedral has soared above the bustling, historic city below. One of the leading examples of Early English architecture, this cathedral boasts Britain’s tallest spire and the best surviving copy of the original Magna Carta.

    Hengistbury Head

    Pack a picnic, gather the family and walk down to Hengistbury Head – a strip of headland stretching away from the coast and into the sea. Uncover the variety of habitats, keep an eye out for bustling wildlife and marvel at the sweeping views to nearby Christchurch and Mudeford.
