Celebrating 125 Years of Incredible

Our anniversary year is a monumental celebration of a simple, beautiful truth: camping connects us. It's an emotional legacy that proves the joy of the outdoors never fades. It's a testament to the timeless power of pitching a tent, parking up, and simply being.

Throughout the year, we ‘ve shared camping memories, rediscovered stories from our archive and brought campers together at Club Sites across the country.

Here’s a look what’s been going on.

What better way to start our anniversary year than with a celebration of camping?

Hamza launched the year by heading to one of our Scottish campsites and reminding us that whether it’s sunshine or showers, there’s nothing quite like getting outdoors, pitching up and enjoying the adventure.

Camping memories are made up of the places we visit, the people we share them with and the moments we remember long after we return home.

We invited campers to share their stories and memories to launch our anniversary year and inspire others to be a part of our history.

For National Camping and Caravanning Week, we launched our Re-boot Camp Challenge and encouraged campers to spend 48-hours reconnecting with nature.

The challenge invited people to step away from everyday distractions, explore our sites and experience the positive mental and physical benefits of spending time outdoors.

Club President Hamza Yassin tried it too and encouraged others to give it a go.

We celebrated our anniversary by helping more people enjoy great-value camping on our network. Our special grass-pitch offer was one of our best ever offers and enabled campers to stay from £12.50 during spring and £17.50 during summer.

To celebrate 125 years of the Club, we brought a Big Toast to selected Club Sites across the country. Campers could enjoy a free s’more from our pop-up bars, take part in campsite games and challenges, and win prizes along the way.

S’mores bundles were also available at other Club Sites, giving even more campers the chance to join in the celebrations and raise a s’more to 125 years.

We opened the Club archive to revisit some of the people, places and moments that shaped camping over the past 125 years.

Special features in Camping and Caravanning magazine brought these stories back to life, from early camping adventures and changing equipment to the experiences that have connected generations of Club members.

Members shared camping pledges, memories and words of wisdom throughout the year. These were brought together in a special booklet and placed in a time capsule, alongside mementoes celebrating the Club and camping in 2026.

The capsule was buried at Clent Hills Club Site at a special event hosted by Club President Hamza Yassin. A commemorative tree was also planted, creating a lasting reminder of our 125th anniversary for generations to come.
