In the Northumberland National Park, perfect for outdoor activities and great days out.

Located in the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland International Dark Sky Park – considered to be the most tranquil place in the UK – our Bellingham Club campsite will appeal to campers looking for a relaxing break as well as those seeking adventure.

This is a level, well maintained 70 pitch campsite with modern facilities including a shop, short dog walk, children’s play area, warm indoor social space, kitchen, drying room, family wet room and games room.

There are numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the site. Walk to the busy village of Bellingham (20 mins) and then to the magical Hareshaw Linn waterfall through ancient woodland. Enjoy a walk along the North Tyne riverbank, fish for salmon, cycle the quiet lanes to Greenhaugh village, or spend the day in Kielder Water and Forest Park, northern Europe’s largest man-made lake (25 mins drive). At Kielder, there are many cycle trails, fishing and watersports. As befits an International Dark Sky Park, the area has exceptionally low light pollution and offers breathtaking night skies. A visit to the Kielder Observatory takes you closer to the stars.

History lovers will enjoy Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the remarkable National Trust properties of Cragside and Wallington.

Bellingham also have camping pods.

Bellingham currently holds a 5 Star rating with Visit England and an AA 5 Pennant Gold Award.

Writing this review in the genuine hope it will help other potential visitors. Overall, a lovely and thoroughally well run site. Despite what other reviews may say, a site staff that are GENUINELY friendly and go "above and beyond". Very strong 4G signal on Vodafone, stong also on EE and O2. Further afield mobile signal varies on all networks - for best results whilst walking etc. get a "Pebble" or other "all networks'" SIM card. Onsite wifi is strong signal but slow and can be very slow network speeds. TV is strong but limited channels (no TV hookup - honestly it's not needed). Electric supply is full 16 Amp. Site is actually quite small but well organised and doesnt feel congested. Probably helped by one of the wardens personally walking every single unit to their pitch and helping with where to park / set-up (which is much apprecaited if you are not entirely sure where to go / what to do). Co-op in town is good for most people - tho for those with allergies / special diets forget it - you WILL be travelling a long way to get fresh food. Location is perfect, short distance from many attractions, far enough away from major motorways to be rural. The road does run adjacent to site and can be heard from site but nothing that disturbed us. On that note the road to site whilst a 60 limit is narrow and in poor repair and you will need to take it less than 30 in parts if towing. Perfectly passable even to the new caravanner, but add the time onto your journey. Availability of food out and summer pub-drinks is excellent. Water / waste / sewerage facilities on site are again excellent. Site slopes a very little, you may need caravan chocks. Tents seem to be sited on flat parts of ground. NOT a site for stag / hen parties but for families, couples etc. it is perfect. Bus from RIGHT outside site entrance. You would be OK without a car here (once arrived!) in my opinion. Hope this helps someone - this is information I was looking for when considering coming! Cards accepted.

I strolled into this camp whilst on my Pennine Way Trip and was found a pitch straight away.

I strolled into this camp whilst on my Pennine Way Trip and was found a pitch straight away. I do not know where to start with the compliments, This site was next to perfect. The facilities were plentifully and spotless. The staff, well, I have not met a more friendly and welcoming bunch ever on any campsite in all my years. I had a problem on my journey as my power pack for my camera a phone had gone missing and with only 2 days left on my walk this loss could have messed up the last of my videoing and photography, but this was no problem for these guys, especially Cath and Kelly who actually lent me there own power pack so I could continue on and not miss anything, which all I have to do now is post it back to them. To sum it up. Fantastic site and fantastic staff Thank you very much indeed.
