Best for

Walkers, anglers, tranquillity seekers, stargazers, history fans

Sandwiched between Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Haltwhistle Club Site shows northern England in all its glory. The campsite is set in a clearing of National Trust-owned Bellister Wood, which also makes it a haven for wildlife.

Roman roaming

As you would expect from such a stunning location, Haltwhistle is a walking paradise, whether that’s a short woodland walk to the pretty market town of the same name or a longer trek through remnants of Britain’s Roman past along nearby Hadrian’s Wall. Whatever you choose, this site offers a peaceful setting to relax at the end of the day and has modern and convenient facilities.

Planes and trains

Another great way to unwind here is with a spot of fishing on the River South Tyne, which runs alongside the edge of the site. For days out, you could visit the many ruins and museums along Hadrian’s Wall or head out to the Solway Aviation Museum near Carlisle. South of the site in Alston is the South Tynedale Railway, which is a less strenuous way to appreciate the sweeping hills and valleys of the North Pennines.

Secure your spot at Haltwhistle Club Site and look forward to enjoying the stunning and tranquil great outdoors of northern England.
