    Enjoy the sights and sounds of traditional British seaside resorts such as Lyme Regis and West Bay from Charmouth Club Site. As you would expect from the name, the site is also close to Charmouth Beach and has green English countryside in every direction.

    This spacious and well-maintained site has been designed to evoke a sense of peaceful calm, thanks to its secluded pitches bordered by hedges and bushes. You’ll find a fully accessible washroom, play area for little ones, well-stocked shop, and contained dog walk – all of which help make your camping experience one to remember.

    As well as proximity to sunny beaches and gorgeous countryside, you can experience many fascinating days out from this campsite. Visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for inspiration, then head down to the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens for some peaceful downtime. The nearby National Trust property, Coney’s Castle, is great for walking, while families will love attractions such as the Dinosaurland Fossil Museum and a marine aquarium in Lyme Regis.

    		These are jumbo grass pitches with no electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.


    		These are jumbo grass pitches with electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.


    		These are super service hard standing pitches with electric hook-up, fresh water and waste drainage, suitable for those looking for a little more luxury whilst they camp.

     

    Worth noting

    • Hardstanding with electric pitches on this site are suitable for all unit types, including tents.
    • Local fishing is available.
    • Winter, summer and nightly storage is available by special arrangement.
    • Caravan Holiday Homes are available for purchase; please contact the site.
    • Super Service Pitches are located a two-minute walk away from the main facility block via a well-lit wooded area. We do not recommend these pitches for anyone with severe mobility issues.
    • From 2025 only the disposal of ‘green’ chemicals will be allowed at chemical disposal points.

    The Fleet Air Arm Museum is devoted to the history of British naval aviation. It has an extensive collection of military and civilian aircraft, aero engines, models of aircraft and Royal Navy ships, and paintings and drawings related to naval aviation.

    Seaton Tramway

    Ride the heritage tram alongside the River Axe estuary for three miles through two nature reserves giving an unrivaled view of the abundant wading bird life. Return back to base or enjoy a lovely river walk part way back before catching the tram again for the final mile.

    Mapperton House

    The Nations Finest Country House" Country Life Magazine. The principle location for the recent Thomas Hardy film 'Far from the Madding Crowd' A glorious sandstone manor house with 15 acres of gardens tumbling down the coombe deep in Dorset.

    Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary

    Visit the donkeys at the family-friendly sanctuary. Free entry and parking. Open all year.

    Harry May Fishing

    Climb on board one of Harry's boats for a safe and fun fishing trip. Harry will even prepare your catch so it's ready for cooking.
