Overview

A peaceful and secluded site with far reaching views. It has an easy, wide, access from Tagg Lane, is set back into the fields with the wooded copse behind the site making it both safe and quiet. Dogs, as well as children, are welcome and it has dog walks from site. There are recycling facilities, good TV reception and 4G reception. We are located just outside the village of Monyash and close to Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Castleton, Dove Dale, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Alton Towers to name a few attractions. The village (approx ½ mile away) has The Bull’s Head pub and Smithy café, both serving hearty food and both having outside eating areas/beer garden and close to the play park. The Royal Oak Pub and Tagg Lane Dairy, which serves as ice cream parlour/cafe and farm shop, are both within easy walking distance. The Limestone Way, Tissington & High Peak Trails (within ½ mile) along with Lathkill Dale and the Pennine Bridleway make this an ideal walkers or cyclists base. The trails network provide miles of traffic free cycling. Cycles can be hired at Parsley Hay on the Tissington Trail or at Blackwell Mill on the Monsal Trail.
Please contact the campsite directly if you have any questions about opening dates, facilities or additional measures at this campsite.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
