    Top site for beaches

Our campsite is near the beautiful beaches of the Welsh coast.

The coves and beaches of west Wales are easily explored from our Club Site at Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion. You can see red kites - a success story in conservation - from here and there are dolphins off the coast close by. The area is a nature-lover's paradise and plenty of attractions for all the family.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Some pitches are sloping and levellers may be required.

This was our 3rd visit to Cardigan Bay, whilst it's not the most modern of sites, the staff keep it very neat and tidy. Don't be put off by reviews left by other members, it's up to the parents of children visiting the site to keep them in order, not the staff. We had no trouble when we visited, but it was mid-week in September and so all the children were in school.

Stayed for 3 nights in August. We loved the site and can recommend it to anyone. Very friendly and helpful staff, lots to see and do in the area. Site was clean tidy and very well presented. Lots of children enjoying themselves although I would say that some parents need to have more control over their children and not to get angry with the site staff for reminding them that there is a ball field for children wishing to play ball and not to kick balls around the camping areas. Weather was a bit wet whilst there but it didn't stop us from enjoying out break away. We will return to cardigan bay. Thank you for a lovely time

I have to say that this was not a quality stay.

This review is for Cardigan Bay

I have to say that this was not a quality stay. I confirm the out of control children and witnessed fighting around the shower block into the evening and boys running in and out of the ladies facilities. The disabled unit was not policied and very able campers were often hogging it. The site managers were indeed quite unfriendly. Reference the glamping units, I don?t know about any particular pitch but we were opposite these units and there certainly was an element of ? ownership? of the land around them. we constantly had children from the units more or less playing on our pitch. There is a hill running through the middle of the site which visitors? young children were allowed to use as a race track. This was not good or very safe. Campers were often inconvenienced by kids riding cycles round the shower block and up and down the steps. Children need to be directed to the excellent play area. On the good side this is an excellent site but for the lack of control and whilst the showers are dated I have to say that the staff were just superb in keeping the gents facilities clean and working. My reading of the situation is that those running the site were just not coping with too many visitors who did not understand the rules of camping. It is difficult sometimes to balance the commercial imperative with the quality of visitors. Like other visitors, we had a bad experience and won?t be going again but I would not put off others. We too have stayed here before not in the high season and it was to the normal high standard one expects. I think anyone who says that this is a quiet and peaceful site in the high season could well be misleading you

First time staying at this site, we couldn't fault it.

This review is for Cardigan Bay

First time staying at this site, we couldn't fault it. Managers and staff very friendly and helpful, not knowing the area and what to do with children on a wet day was sorted out by Dave & Diane, they were able to give us lots of tips and ideas of places to go (thank you so much both). We were able to choose our own pitch and was shown what was available to us, when taken to our chosen pitch we were shown how to set up and everything was pointed out to us. We had a slight problem in that we broke one of our tent poles but Dave was able to rescue our disaster and somehow managed to supply us with another, the site we found to be well looked after, yes the facilities are old but everything works as it should. No problem with waiting for the showers which are kept immaculate. Newquay itself is just a lovely little village with the best ice cream we have ever had. Dolphin watching out on boat trip was fantastic the kids loved it and hadn't ever seen a dolphins before. If you want a great campsite with lovely friendly staff then this site has it all. We are looking forward to booking our pitch for next year.
