Our campsite at Great Shelford is spacious and sheltered by mature tree-lined borders, giving way to glorious rolling landscapes and patchwork farmland, speckled with spinneys and woodlands. Our Cambridge glamping site comes well-equipped with showers, washing-up and laundry amenities and even a children's playgound. On-site you'll find a homely canvas-wrapped safari tent with your name on it, packed to the hilt with creature comforts and oodles of little luxuries.

Cambridge offers a treasure trove of things to see and do, and our glamping site provides the perfect springboard from which to discover the city and its local attractions. Explore the celebrated university grounds, go punting along the River Cam to see the famous College Backs, wander along the cobbled lanes, or while away an afternoon dipping into the city's many museums, independent shops, art venues and street stalls. Closer to home you'll find a handful of shops and friendly pubs in the adjacent village of Trumpington - perfect for stocking up the wine cupboard or for a refreshing pitstop after another memorable day.

Glamping in Cambridge is much more than a city break. For starters, Cambridgeshire's famous fens are a must-visit for ramblers and cyclists alike. Explore the vast flat terrain by foot or by saddle - why not ask at reception for local trekking centres?

Approximately half an hour's drive north of Cambridge is the lovely pocket city of Ely. Visit the magnificent 12th century cathedral and take a guided tour to the Octagon and Lantern Towers - the views from the top are well worth the climb! Wander around the Stained Glass Museum, pay a visit to Oliver Cromwell's House, uncover the city's prehistoric history at Ely Museum, or take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the River Great Ouse.

Other must-see places include the riverside towns of St Ives and St Neots. Raise the stakes at Newmarket for an afternoon of drumming hooves and pounding heartbeats. The National Trust’s Wimpole Hall and Anglesey Abbey make great days out, as do the Imperial War Museum, Denny Abbey and Farmland Museum, which are all within an easy drive of our campsite.
