    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 115 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can view gannets, puffins and seals from interactive live cameras.

WiFi

The WiFi service is excellent throughout the campsite. Prices.

Our first holiday since becoming members and we were extremely impressed with the experience.

Our first holiday since becoming members and we were extremely impressed with the experience. Super helpful and informative staff, great pitches and facilities. Great area for wildlife, we even had a hedgehog in the porch of our tent one night! A happy evening star gazing with a beer in hand the first night, idyllic! Dunbar is a fascinating little town, we greatly enjoyed the John Muir museum, looking out for the 'closes' and wandering about the harbour and ruined castle. White Sands beach was lovely, though it was very windy when we were there so didn't stay as long on the beach as we might have liked. Not enough time to do all we would have liked, but I'm sure we'll be back.

Into double figures for visits to this site , lovely site area etc, but overall have to say that frank elizabeth and the team have taken the site to the next level , fantastic job they have done with the site, plus friendly clean , well taken care off , nothing a problem at all first class . One small downside which seems to be a recurring problem on our travels this year with c.c.c.no supply of newspapers , simple thing but for us important part , come on. C.c.c. surely should be addressed and rectified , after all few sites that do offer papers you have to pay in advance
