Visit West Bay
The picturesque harbour village of West Bay is only a few miles south of Bridport. Spend a day enjoying the sandy beach and blustery walks along the stunning cliffs. This was the filming location of the ITV TV show “Broadchurch” so you may recognise a few places while exploring the harbour and sampling local seafood.
Enjoy a tour of Palmers Brewery
With over 230 years of history, Palmers Brewery is a part of local Bridport heritage. Sample traditional ales and learn about the brewing process at one of the oldest family-run breweries in the UK.

Walk some of the South West Coast Path
England’s longest waymarked footpath stretches from Minehead in Somerset to Poole Harbour in Dorset. While camping in or near Bridport there are plenty of routes you can follow to take in a section of the trail. Walking from Bridport to the pretty pebble beach named Eype is just one option which gives wonderful coastal views.
