The surrounding area

Beautiful beaches, stunning cliffs, pretty villages and quaint hamlets all make up Cornwall’s unspoilt Roseland Peninsula. It’s here you’ll find our charming Veryan Club campsite just off the Roseland Heritage Coast. The South West Coast Path is a mile and a half from site and the great beaches of Veryan - Carne Beach, Pendower Beach with East and West Portholland Beaches just a little further.

The mild climate in and around the Roseland Peninsula means plants flourish here. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, and the National Trust’s wonderful Trelissick Garden are testament to this.

Head to St Mawes, south of the campsite. From this pretty fishing village, catch the ferry to the seaside town of Falmouth. As well as great beaches, Falmouth offers the National Maritime Museum of Cornwal and Pendennis Castle.

A small lake, a field for children’s ball games, plus a TV and games room are in addition to the toilet/shower and laundry facilities found on site.

If you'd like to go glamping then Veryan Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

This review is for Veryan

Seems to be the trend for the Club Sites Management Team at Head Office to install all weather hard standing pitches en mass at Club sites. This site has had them installed with a road up the middle over the close period and quite frankly it has spoilt the grass aspect of the site. Although some grass pitches exist here these have been cut down dramatically from previous, I for one do not wish to put an awning up that cost a lot of money nor tread stones in to my caravan again that cost a lot of money. Often we also use a tent and we certainly do not want pitch this on stones causing expensive damage. These replacement pitch types seem to arrive since the advent of more motorhomers who obviously find it difficult or incapable of pitching on grass. We are predominately a Camping Club and other Campers agree, when spoken to on site, please stop over - running our Sites with unfriendly and non - eco. pitch types. The Site Managers as stated in the Summary are brilliant.

Had a very peaceful stay here - friendly welcome set the tone. Pitch and facilities excellent.

Had a very peaceful stay here - friendly welcome set the tone. Pitch and facilities excellent. I enjoyed the peace of the fishing lake, although "the big one" got away. Not too many rules and regs - just enough to keep everyone happy. Lovely walks on peninsula - app iWalk Cornwall very useful. Took ferry to Falmouth via St Mawes on a wet day - made for a fun outing. Enough here for us to return some day.

This is our 6th time on site and we love it! It's quiet, secluded and not open to the elements. We are made to feel very welcome and look forward to our 2 weeks here every year. Even our dog loves it! Central enough for visiting some of Cornwall's fabulous gardens - The Lost Garden of Heligan, The Eden Project, Tressilick, Trewithian and Trebah to name a few (also dog friendly). Would recommend The Roseland Inn at Philliegh for a meal ( a 10 minute drive away), on the way to and from The King Harry ferry (a shortcut to avoid travelling through Truro).

Absolutely lovely site run by a lovely, friendly and welcoming team.

This review is for Veryan

Absolutely lovely site run by a lovely, friendly and welcoming team. Could not have been more helpful and welcoming and made my stay a joy from the start. Site is clean, tidy and well presented in every way, it had everything I could possibly want from a campsite. I hope to visit again. Only downside was having to hear the howls of the poor cows being tortured in the Arla facility next door :(

“The site staff at Veryan could not have done more to make our stay an enjoyable one. The site is well maintained and kept tidy. Near to many local attractions, and also secluded walks and beaches, the site position means that most places of interest are within an hours journey in the car. We would recommend this site without hesitation.”
