    Top site for beaches

Enjoy coast and countryside from this popular north Norfolk site near Cromer.

You can get a feel for the beautiful and varied Norfolk coast and countryside from our Club campsite at West Runton.

Our pretty and spacious campsite commands a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name. Trees surround this beautifully maintained site. Facilities include roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry and washing up area and a lovely dog walk.

Just a short walk from the campsite brings you to the quaint fishing village of West Runton. Its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing while the plentiful rock pools are waiting to be explored.

For more sandy beaches, piers and promenades Sheringham, Cromer (both within walking distance of the campsite) and Caister-on-Sea tick the boxes.

A mile south of West Runton, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft and you’ll be rewarded with views over the countryside and coast.

For nature lovers Blakeney Point is a must. This mix of dune, marsh and shingle is home to seals and a variety of birds. Catch a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them. There are more animals to be seen at the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre close to the campsite.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Bit taken aback when the 1st staff member I met was a man who obviously thought he was being funny, but I didnt know him and found him rather disconcerting. The narrow lumpy track to the site is not easy particularly for large caravans/motorhomes. Great for walking although not situated on the beach easy enough to walk to then approx 1/2 hr walk to Cromer or longer walk along the cliff top to Sheringham. The weekend was jam packed, pitches around the edge fine, but highly suspicious the pitches in the middle were not the official distence from one another. You could not adjust the heat on the showers, I found them far too hot, and had to sit on the floor to rinse hair or it felt like it was burning my scalp

Just returned from a relaxing 3 night stay.

This review is for West Runton

Just returned from a relaxing 3 night stay. Access not that difficult as previous comments suggest,a bit bumpy in places but fine, We are camping after all. You would be delayed returning to the site if caught up in the arrival queue after 1pm so worth bearing in mind if you go out. We just didn't use the car during our stay which we enjoyed as a previous reviewer said. Friendly staff team who sorted us out with a nice pitch although the site was busy. Toilet and showers warm, clean and spacious so no complaints there. We walked to West Runton one day and Cromer another, both lovely off road walks so great for the dogs. Big Morrisons supermarket in Cromer so we took a rucksack and picked up a few things there. Also plenty of walking near the site including Scenic views from Inckleborough Hill. We had a lovely stay and will return again for longer. Probably the nicest club site we've stayed on. Thank you.
