This is the third year we have stayed on this site and have camped here three times this summer, both as a couple and with our grown up children. Mr and Mrs Thomas are warm and welcoming hosts and although the facilities are basic they are always spotlessly clean. The site is close to the beach and estuary so very convenient for walks, paddling and so forth, with views towards the Rhinogs behind. We love the peace and quiet here with all the wildlife around you - there aren't many places where you can hear curlews and oystercatchers and, on a clear night, look out at a sky full of stars. We are looking forward to revisiting again next year.

What a gem. The owner is very nice and keeps the site spotlessly clean and tidy.If we lived nearer we would be regular visitors. This site is in a great location and the scenery is stunning. We used the train ( only about 5 - 10 mins walk) as this was quite a treat for us. We didn't use the showers as we used our own. The two toilets were basic but spotlessly clean. The grass was kept nice and short and each pitch seemed to have water and electric. This might not be everyone's choice as the facilities are basic but we loved it. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Hope to return some time. Many thanks to the owners.

I agree that the Thomas's are very nice people and the site is clean and cared for but the facilities leave much to be desired. I would say the site is suitable for those with a caravan or motor home but not for tents. The walk to the showers I counted as 450 paces each way and there were only 2 located in what I can only call a draughty shed which may be fine for some. It was made clear we were not to play music,we are in our sixties so would have liked to listen to some quiet appropriate music, but alas! Very near to the beach so at least we had some entertainment. We have been to number of sites with the club and have been more than happy with the facilities but this was reminiscent of 'carry on camping'. We booked for 6 nights but left after 4 due to the washing facilities. I wouldn't visit this site again as it is too 'old fashioned camping' for me. The surroundings are beautiful but the the lack of facilities in reasonable reach of the tent spoilt our visit. Needs bringing into modern times.Very disappointing.

Warm welcome from Mrs Thomas, if she is not around, names and pitch number are placed on the gate. Fairly sheltered site. There are two fields to this small site but the field nearest the farm house appears to only open for busy school holidays. This field has 3 toilets and the showers are close by. We stayed in the other field and it was very peaceful, you can hear the Oysters Catchers and the waves on the beach only a few hundred metres away, also small cafe there, no breakfasts though. There is only one female and one male toilet, with an outside sink with cold water, quite basic but kept clean, showers are a short walk away, again serviceable and clean, if you want warm shower/toilet blocks with piped music, this site is not for you.It does feel like a back to basics campsite, which suits us. Field was kept mown and the pitches are quite big, wall surrounding field provides some shelter, pitches in this field appear to have a tap and electric hook up. Think we were wrongly charged for our pitch, £16 when the sign clearly stated a tent pitch with no hook up was £15, maybe it was because there was a hook up there, but not used, didn't think it was worth mentioning. Lovely quiet site, no amusements, plenty of lovely walks, great beach, fantastic views, close to Harlech and Barmouth, walk to the train station and save driving and parking, cheapish fares. Would visit again.
