The surrounding area

You’ll find some of north Cornwall’s best bathing and surfing beaches within easy reach of our Bude Club campsite. The campsite boasts a prime location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. Bude lies nine miles to the north, while south are Tintagel and Camelford.

The nearby fishing port of Boscastle is worth visiting. Learn about the legend of King Arthur in Tintagel, enjoy a cliff top walk to the castle ruins and Merlin’s Cave. Just south of Tintagel Trebarwith Strand is a popular surfing beach and dog-friendly. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin and Boscastle, a delightful fishing port with white washed cottages, steep narrow streets and alleyways, should not be missed.

North of Bude campsite, Widemouth Bay and Blackrock Sands is fabulous for surfing and sunbathing.

A lovely site not too big and with budeful sunsets over the sea. lovely staff. A memorable stay and hope to return. When you discover Bude itself don't tell everyone else or it will get horribly busy like all of the other Cornish seaside resorts.

This campsite is well maintained and very clean.

This campsite is well maintained and very clean. Owners Ron and Jo and very friendly and helpful. Facilities are a little dated but tick all the boxes for your everyday needs. You can walk your dog around the campsite on a lead. I'd definitely return and recommend. Thank you.

A great friendly and well kept site to stay on.

This review is for Bude

A great friendly and well kept site to stay on. Easy to find on the A39 and great place to go north to Widemouth Bay, Bude and further along or South to Boscastle and all the way down with a lot more to see. That's why we are going back next year.

Lovely site, easy to find, with the wardens, Jo and Ron being welcoming and helpful.

Lovely site, easy to find, with the wardens, Jo and Ron being welcoming and helpful. Spotlessly clean site with great showers and ample hot water, only issue was shower stalls and privacy areas were verging on the tiny and the mens facilities has no privacy cubicles for washing. While the site seemed fairly busy while we were there there was never a queue for the showers and was blissfully quiet at night. Ron went out of his way to find opening details for a local cafe for us (Crafty Otter - well recommended for their full English breakfast, welcoming and friendly staff). Although situated 8 miles south of Bude the site is excellently situated on the A39 for travelling either South towards Padstow etc or North toward Devon, and we went both ways. Excellent site that we will be returning to at sometime in the future.
