According to our latest research, more than half of campers say listening to the calming sounds of nature helps them get a better night’s sleep than if they were in their own bed.
The poll of 1,000 people who go camping often found 56 per cent said their sleep quality improves when they are closer to nature.
Raindrops, flowing rivers, and wind blowing through trees were voted the top sounds that aid an enjoyable bedtime, with tent fabric flapping, insects chirping, and sleeping bags rustling also making the list.
To help highlight the positive impact of being in nature, our Club President, wildlife cameraman and presenter, Hamza Yassin has launched a bespoke audio track for the Club featuring some of the most relaxing sounds from the incredible outdoors.

£500 Club Site Voucher Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
1) Promoter: The promoter of this prize draw is The Camping and Caravanning Club, Greenfields House, Westwood Way, Coventry, CV4 8JH.
2) Eligibility: The prize draw is open to individuals who:
a) Have booked a stay at a participating Club Site that falls between 24th May 2025 and 1st June 2025 as part of National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW).
b) Have made their booking by 20th May 2025.
c) Are aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
d) Are residents of the United Kingdom.
e) Employees of The Camping and Caravanning Club, their immediate family members, or anyone professionally associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
3) How to Enter:
a) Eligible participants must opt in to the prize draw via the official email which will be sent on 23rd May 2025, and must opt in by the end of 1st June 2025.
b) Only one entry per booking is permitted.
4) Prize:
a) The winner will receive a £500 Club Site Voucher to be used for payment or part-payment of camping fees on participating UK Club Sites only (excludes Bellingham, Charmouth, Cheddar, Hereford & Skye).
i) No cash alternative will be offered for any voucher and lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
ii) The voucher cannot be used on Certificated Sites.
iii) The Club’s standard refund and cancellation policy applies to all bookings.
iv) Voucher must be redeemed by 1st June 2026.
v) Further terms and conditions will apply to the voucher.
5) Winner Selection & Notification:
a) The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries.
b) The draw will take place within 14 days after the promotion closes on 1st June 2025.
c) The winner will be notified via the contact details provided within 7 days of the draw date.
d) If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, a new winner may be selected.
6) General Terms:
a) The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, or violate these terms and conditions.
b) The Club reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time upon reasonable notice.
c) The decision of the promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7) Data Protection:
a) Any personal data collected will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.
b) Personal data provided during entry will only be used for the administration of this prize draw unless the participant has opted in to receive marketing communications.

8) Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
