Campers looking to embrace cosy camping and nights spent under the stars can now enjoy stays at a selection of Camping and Caravanning Club Sites that remain open year-round or have extended opening.

From tent campers and motorhomers to those heading out in a caravan, all types of campers can enjoy an off-season escape at the 25 open Club Sites, each offering great facilities and a friendly welcome.

Year-round bases

Seventeen Club Sites are open throughout the year and include Chertsey, Salisbury and Keswick.

Pitch up at Chertsey Club Site and enjoy the magical Christmas light trail at Kew Gardens, running from November 14th to January 4th. At nearly two miles long, it is one of the UK’s longest light trails.

Food lovers will enjoy a stay at Salisbury Club Site - the town’s Christmas market, running from 21st November, is within easy walking distance of the site.

Keswick Victorian Fayre is also within a ten-minute walk of Keswick Club Site.

Sites with extended opening

Eight further Club Sites remain open through November and December, with pitches from as little as £10.50 per person per night.

Head to Scone Club Site and enjoy a candlelit tour of Scone Palace throughout December. The Club Site is in grounds of the palace, which has been owned by the Mansfield family for over 400 years.

Comfy self-catering

For campers without their own unit, the Club also offers lodge holidays at its Braithwaite Village Club Site. Cosy cabins can be booked from as little as £80 a night for Club members this December.

Ian Hewlett, the Club’s Technical Manager, said: “Many Club members – myself included – enjoy touring through Christmas and beyond, using our units as a base to explore the best seasonal events and attractions.

“Modern camping units have good insulation and heating systems and can be a true home-from-home at this time of year. Our expert guide to winter touring will help you get the basics right every time.”

Club members also benefit from member-exclusive offers on cosy camping kit, including 15% off at the Fine Bedding Company which offers Sherpa fleece lined, water resistant outdoor blankets. Members also get up to 15% off outdoor kit at Blacks, Cotswold Outdoors, Millets and Mountain Warehouse.
