    Overview

    Charlie’s Hideaway We are situated 5 miles from the Causeway Coastal Route and central to the Glens of Antrim. Near the village of lovely Armoy as the song describes it, it’s not far to Ballycastle and the Rathlin ferry. It is only half a mile to the Dark Hedges of Game of Thrones fame. On the other side of the village is Shean’s Horsefarm and Heritage Centre where there is riding for all abilities in a most scenic area. You may also learn about the history of the area and all about the Mc Donnells and the McQuillans. Also Tea/ coffee shop. Our site is a small site but well appointed, with hook-ups etc. to each pitch. Toilets and shower, washing machine and tumble drier available, also free Wi-Fi. Shrubs and grass well kept. Also on site is Charlie’s Self Catering Cottage which is registered with N.I.T.B. three stars and passed for families, walkers, cyclists, dogs, golfers and anglers welcome schemes. This may be booked through Discover Northern Ireland, Holiday Lettings or Airbnb. Visit us on facebook.

     

    This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

     

    *Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
