Overview

Plas Ellen CS is situated near the west coast of Anglesey, in an elevated position having a south westerly aspect offering views of Holy Mountain & surrounding countryside. Ideally located for visiting attractions including South Stack Lighthouse & Visitor Centre (excellent for spotting rare choughs & others), also North stack & Breakwater Country Park, Trearddur bay, Penrhos Coastal park (popular for dog walking) Historic Hut Circles, Church bay. Ferry to Dublin 7m Anglesey offers superb coastline walking & watersports, the coastal path/nearest shore being just 2 miles away with parking available. 1 inch maps available to borrow on site Also convenient for the A55 trunk road to explore Anglesey & beyond including Llanddwyn Island (Newborough forest), Llanfair PG (place with the longest name), Beaumaris Castle & Puffin Island, Snowdonia & Great Orme to name but a few. For a quieter relaxing day out try National Trust properties Plas Newydd, Penrhyn Castle, Bodnant Gardens. Holyhead retail park 6m from site offers 2 supermarkets & other outlets. Well stocked local store in village less than a mile away. Good selection of restaurants – The Holland Pub being within walking distance, Valley Hotel, The White Eagle Roscolyn & The Lobster Pot in Church Bay.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

 

Whilst the majority of Certificated Sites do permit children, please be aware that this site has chosen to be Adults Only.
