The third largest lake in the Lake District National Park, Coniston Water stretches over five miles between the villages of Nibthwaite and Coniston.

One of the Lake District’s most popular mountains, the Old Man of Coniston, looms over Coniston Water.

Take a dip in the lake, hire a boat and take it out on the water, or rent a bike and follow the trail around the lakeside.
