Sport utility vehicles don’t always live up to the ‘sport’ part of their name. That’s not a complaint that can be made of the Mazda CX-5. Ever since the first generation went on sale in 2012, it has been one of the most enjoyable SUVs to drive. The second generation CX-5, launched in 2017, cemented that position while addressing some of the original’s weaknesses. Today’s car entertains on a twisting road, but is easier to live with every day thanks to lower noise levels and a more comfortable ride.
