The Club joined forces with The Outdoor Guide, the outdoors information website fronted by Club President Julia Bradbury, to support Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign launch.
The campaign, which ran for the first time in 2017, returns this weekend (2-4 March), and runs until 25 March.
Last year, over the #GBSpringClean weekend, more than 300,000 people, across 13,000 organised events, cleared more than 1500 tonnes of litter from the UK’s streets, car parks and beaches.
This year it’s back, aiming to bring people together to pick up litter throughout our country and inspire them to get outdoors and help clear up the litter that is around us.
The public are invited to register online with Keep Britain Tidy, with events running up to and including 25 March.
Our own Rob Ganley, and the Club’s Marketing and Communications Director Paul Jones, joined Julia Bradbury at the launch event, the London Eye Challenge, which involved collecting as much litter as possible in the shortest amount of time – inside a London Eye pod.
If you register, and take part, be sure to share your adventures using #LitterHeroes, and learn more about The Outdoor Guide here.
