The OIA awards recognises the best new products in camping and the outdoors. Winners in ten different categories were selected after being displayed to more than 50,000 consumers at The Outdoor Adventure and Camping Show at Excel, London between 16 to 19 February, 2017.
From that list of ten category winners, the Lowe Alpine Ascent Superlight backpack was selected as the overall ‘Product of the Year’ by a panel of expert judges, including specialist outdoor retailers and journalists.
According to Lowe Alpine, the Ascent backpack features incredibly lightweight TriShield fabric panelling and an innovative active shoulder harness to allow full body movement with no loss in carrying comfort.
Other notable category winners included Vango, which picked up the Family Award for its AirHub Hex Gazebo and also MSR, which won in the Tent category for its Access 2 Backcountry.
