A range of environmentally-friendlier tents and sleeping bags, produced in collaboration between Vango and the National Trust, has now gone on sale exclusively through GO Outdoors.
The range was first introduced last year at February 2020 Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show, and you can check out our video report on this in our show highlights package (see below).
Plastic bottles sourced from seas, waterways, streets and landfill, have been used to create a new Sentinel Eco fabric for a range of high-performance tents. Each tent uses between 69 and 301 plastic bottles, depending on size.
A range of sleeping bags, with a 100% recycled polyester filling made from reprocessed used plastic bottles, complements the tent range.
In its initial year, it’s estimated the collaboration will see up to 295,000 bottles collected and recycled.
The sleeping bag and tent ranges will feature the exclusive National Trust Oakleaf pattern, inspired by the oak leaf carving at Alfriston Clergy House in East Sussex; the first property to be cared for by the National Trust
The collaboration between Vango and the National Trust celebrates a shared passion for the great outdoors and with each sale from the National Trust camping collection*, Vango will contribute to the National Trust to help look after nature, history, and beauty for everyone, forever. A minimum of £20,000 will be contributed.
The National Trust Collection by Vango is also available from online from Go Outdoors and online from Vango.
