Lowdhams, which has two branches in Nottingham and Huddersfield, is offering all members of its ‘My Lowdhams’ loyalty scheme a reusable cup that they can use to claim free tea and coffee at shows and events around the country.

Debby Swainson, Marketing Manager of Lowdhams, explained: “We love it when our customers come to the stand [at a show] and have a chat and enjoy a free coffee with us, but we notice that every time we visit a show, we were filling bags and bags with used disposable coffee cups, and at the moment these can’t be recycled.
“We know that many of our customers are passionate about enjoying the outdoors and we want to make sure that the coast and countryside where they enjoy spending their time is protected for both themselves and future generations.”

An estimated 2.5 billion single-use coffee cups are thrown away in the UK each year, and most cannot be recycled – initiatives like this one of Lowdhams will help to reduce that.

Existing My Lowdhams members can collect their cup in either at the Huddersfield branch from the 14th September or the Nottingham branch from the 21st September at the VIP Preview Evenings.
