Top tips for camping dads

Normally, when we go camping, it’s as a family. That is, mum (Holly), dad (me!) and our two boys, William and Toby (9 and 7 years old). But during our everyday lives there have been occasions when either of our sons has had cause to head off on their own with just one parent, and it’s been clear how beneficial this was to them at the time.
One is easier to look after than two, I’m sure you’ll agree, but it’s not so much that as allowing all of your attention and focus to fall on one child.
They don’t get this at home. At home it’s always “you and your brother should…” or “the pair of you need to…”. They are treated as a duo, as a package of two.
