As food columnist and recipe writer for Camping & Caravanning magazine, I spend a lot of my time aiming to inspire campers about the joys of cooking with fresh local ingredients. It may seem a little unusual then that I am about to focus my (and your) attention on packets of dehydrated food. But, in the words of the dulcet-toned advert, these aren’t ordinary packets of dried food... they are actually very tasty, made with natural ingredients, no additives, and are home-cooked in a converted mill in Dorset. And, even the meat and vegetables used in the recipes are from local farms and suppliers.
