If you've never heard of CAN bus or LIN bus it’s perhaps not surprising. They are the technical systems for communicating with, and controlling, components in automotive and similar applications. Their principle advantage is that they dramatically cut down on the amount of wiring needed when compared to conventional techniques. In recent years the falling cost of electronics has meant that bus systems like these have been making their way into caravans and motorhomes.
