In the past when I’ve mentioned to neighbours that we’re off camping during the winter months, the usual reaction has been simply “why?” Funnily enough, they no longer ask as the mini lecture is now so familiar. For me, camping for just a few months of the year is not long enough. Sure, it’s more challenging in the colder months but not so much that it’s intimidating or a survival exercise.
