Walking, hiking, rambling… which best conveys your preferred way of wandering off the beaten track? I like to describe my own perambulation as ‘wombling’ and I do like my feet to be comfortable. Unless you’re an avid hillwalker or love trekking through the high ranges, there are few scenarios where you need the support and protection of heavier, high cut walking boots.
