Get your boots on and walk or cycle the many wonderful trails that criss-cross the National Park, or head further out and explore Dorset's spectacular Jurassic coastline. And once you've done that, reward yourself by kicking back and enjoying a thoroughly relaxing day on the beach.

Ramp things up a little by heading into bustling Bournemouth, or visit the sandy beaches and pretty waterfront of Poole - home to wet 'n wild Splashdown Water Park. Other great family excursions include Paultons Family Theme Park and Peppa Pig World, and the popular New Forest Reptile Centre. Here, you can get up close and personal with native snakes, frogs, toads, and the rare sand lizard.
