Overview

  • Campsites next to or within walking distance of a beach

    Top site for beaches

Please note you will experience some noise disruption and dust at this site for the foreseeable future as there is a new housing estate being constructed next door. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Explore the beauty of England's south coast from our campsite.

With cycling and walking trails in abundance, miles of sandy beaches, bustling towns, pretty chocolate box villages and a host of family attractions within a short distance our Chichester Club Campsite offers something for everyone.

Chichester is a small, welcoming campsite. Once an orchard it is now a great base to stay when exploring the numerous attractions for all of the family.

Head across the road on foot or two wheels to enjoy the paths to the coast and Chichester harbour. Or catch a bus from outside the site to Chichester (great for shopping), Bognor, Littlehampton and Brighton in one direction and Southampton and Portsmouth (with the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard) in the other.

For a bucket and space day head to the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering where you’ll find sand dunes, sheltered waters and acres of space. East Head and Selsey too are great for lazy beach days.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Worth Noting

Please note that the site cannot accept units over 8m long. Electric security barriers are in operation. There is no parking for visitors or for 2nd cars, and because of the narrow entrance road there are no overnight parking facilities. There is no Motorhome Service Point on site.

Eat Local

Chichester hosts a farmers' market twice a month. Southbourne farm shop near to site sells a range of local products and the Tupenny Barn sells organic fruit and vegetables.

We were made welcome as soon as we arrived by very friendly staff. Booking in was easy and we were impressed by the cleanliness and organisation of the site. Very quiet with no disturbance from the building taking place nearby. Will stay longer next time.

I just spent 4 nights at this site ; loved it so much I extended it by one day, then unfortunately had to go home to work. Very clean site and well managed: asked for advice and help was given: advice on how to get to the sea ( 15 min stroll) bus/ train services given ( train station 10 min walk) went to Bognor 8 return, cheaper than parking. All staff friendly and approachable. I didnt hear any noise from the building site next door. I loved it ,the dogs loved it ,will definitely go back .

Stayed on BH weekend so site was full but what a lovely smal. site. Two ladies running it were helpful and friendly . Only downside was the hard standing which was great for the van but not the awning. Couldn’t get the tent pegs in at all so gave up with the awning which was a bit annoying. Very clean, well maintained facilities. Southbourne farmshop directly over the road which sells not only farmfood but all sorts of other food too ( think convenience store) . Opposite site are bus stops on either side of road . One way goes Chichester and other way Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. Stagecoach bus no 700 for either way. We went gunwharf quays cost us £16 return for both of us and took an hour but interesting journey. There is a train station nearby too but we didn’t use this . Chichester caravans a few hundred yards down the road towards Chichester if you have any issues and a co op a few hundred yards the opposite way . Pub next door which serves food - didn’t go in so can’t comment. All in all a nice site with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Definitely recommend . Note to neighbour - any sites that say no ball games mean no ball games , not even beside your own van - your children aren’t an exception to the rule.

We stayed at the site for the early May bank holiday, the site was ideal for a weekend break & a safe environment for the children to play. It is in an ideal location for visiting the coast. The staff were friendly and the site was very well kept & clean. We would definitely stay here again.
