Relax in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside at our campsite near the canal.

Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite. Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

We love this little site.

This review is for Wolverley

We love this little site. It is fairly local to us but when we're there it feels like a million miles from home. It's in a reasonably quiet location but is close to the major West Midlands conurbation. The shower block has been completely refurbished and is fabulous. Push button now but hot water with a strong flow. Kept wonderfully clean. We parked the car and didn't use it again until we left. It is easy to cycle the one and half miles into Kidderminster along the canal, in fact it's easy to cycle anywhere along the canal even down to Stourport or up to Kinver. Very easy riding for everyone including novices. The countryside around Wolverley is pleasant. Lots of lovely walks and rides and if you pop into Kinver visit the butchers by the Spa and sample the pork and black pudding pie; heavenly! Apparently the Club are going to install rather a lot of hard standing pitches on this site. My question is why? There are none at present and the site is perfectly adequate without them, being good draining if on a slope. I think the inclusion of hard standing pitches will mar the look of the site. We shall be returning very soon.

Received a really warm welcome on arrival from Ian and Jackie, with the added touch of being given a couple of choices of pitch and Ian was helpful in siting our van. Nothing is too much trouble. The facilities have been refurbished and are excellent. Had a meal at The Lock pub which was fantastic. Good portion sizes made it really good value for money. Would highly recommend a trip on The Severn Valley railway, took about an hour from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. Two adult tickets at 19 each return. Lovely travelling on a steam train, beautiful scenery and you can hop on and off. The parking at Kidderminster station was 3 all day. It's also not too far to the Safari Park. This was our 2nd visit to this site and will definitely not be our last. Would highly recommend this site. (PS TV reception is poor here so make sure you have an external aerial)

Staff were really lovely and friendly. facilities immaculate. Had a lovely walk round the area, fantastic bacon buttie in the village, and then found a dragon in the woods! (ok so it was a fallen down tree that had been carved, but still very impressive). Local pub (the lock) was lovely, and dog friendly which was a real bonus. Will definitely consider staying at Wolverley again :)
