    Top site for photography

Our campsite is beautifully located under the big skies of Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire’s coast and countryside is waiting to be explored from our pretty Woodhall Spa Club campsite located in the Fenlands area of the county. The site enjoys a quiet, rural setting near the Edwardian town of the same name and accommodates some 90 units. It is bordered by trees and offers some secluded pitches. There is a lake on site and you’re likely to share your pitch with a variety of wildlife including rabbits and wild birds such as woodpeckers and moorhens.

The Edwardian town of Woodhall Spa is within walking distance and offers several places to eat. The Cottage Museum tells the history of the local community and the Kinema in the woods – a unique two-screen cinema – is open seven days a week.

For sandy beaches head to the popular resort of Skegness and Chapel St Leonards, both brimming with activities to keep the whole family entertained. In contrast the peaceful Lincolnshire Wolds provide a landscape of rolling hills and gentle valleys, perfect for walking, cycling and wildlife watching. The market towns of Market Rasen, Louth, Horncastle and Spilsby provide a range of shops, eating places.

Air enthusiasts will enjoy the Battle of Britain Air Museum at RAF Coningsby and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby. Other local attractions include Lincoln Castle and Tattershall Castle, a dramatic red brick tower managed by the National Trust.

A very nice site in a rural location.

This review is for Woodhall Spa

A very nice site in a rural location. The site has two parts - one being an open space, and the other part the pitches are separated by trees with a small lake in the middle. I stayed in the latter part. Very quite and peaceful. Off a country lane so minimal passing traffic. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Childrens' play area on site with climbing frame, swings, slide. Toilet/shower block nice and clean. Because of rural location, phone signal poor. Site offers Wifi but I couldn't detect it from my pitch so didn't use it.

First visit on this site but it will not be our last.

First visit on this site but it will not be our last. Warm welcome and friendly staff helped us choose a pitch that suited us perfectly under the birch trees at the bottom of the site. Lovely to wake up to the sound of birds and see the ducks waddle by each morning. The grounds are perfectly kept, the wildlife pond peaceful and so pretty. Toilets were very clean and I liked the little touches of pictures on the walls. Best site we have stayed on this year. Pity the Lincolnshire wildlife site adjacent does not allow dogs, on or off leads but the walks in Ostlers Plantation just up the lane made up for it.

The site was very clean and the children enjoyed the small play area, however we were on a grass pitch which was very uneasy and the small 10 amp power point tripped a few times, there was no water connection points on the pitch and the waste disposal point was a fair distance away from where we were parked, there is zero phone & satellite signal onsite and a very windy little road to get there. I must say the staff had a serious attitude problem, the gentlemen on our arrival that checked us in was on the verge of being rude and struggled to smile for the 2 nights we stayed there. We felt uneasy with the wardens nit picking about minor things and there unfriendliness and felt that we were being constantly watched, one warden told us a time we had to vacate and another one told us something different, the electric hookup wires running across the pitches from where we stayed from other caravan & motorhome users was a trip hazard, the park itself was very nice and well presented but the people running it need to go on a course of customer services and a better way in which to speak and treat there guests. We won't be rushing back and only used this site as all the local ones in the area was booked up for the 1940s weekend which we throughly enjoyed but felt our presents at Woodhall camp site was not welcome, we won't be coming back there in a hurry.
