I don't generally post reviews, but making an exception for this campsite. I took my 2 year old daughter camping here. The campsite itself is great in the woods and you can pretty much pitch where you like. The ponies frequently wander through the campsite making it a wonderful exprience for my daughter. I would also like to praise the staff for their help and friendleness - Due to an oversight I managed to bring a tent without poles and only realised once at our pitch. Obviously felt a total fool, but explained to the site Manager that I would not be staying after all and why - He was extremely helpful and lent me a spare tent that they had (for no charge). All the staff here were so friendly and helpful and thanks to them what was starting to be a bit of a nightmare camping trip for us turned into a wonderful weekend. Thankyou to the Manager and all the staff from a Father and his Daughter.

This was our first time camping over a weekend and at Hollands Wood. The staff were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. We were able to pick our pitch amongst the oak trees and share the camp site with the wild ponies and local wildlife. We have two dogs, and the new forest was less than a minute walk to the stunning countryside. We would definitely come again.

We arrived on a very wet bank holiday weekend but despite the weather we received a warm welcome as we turned up. Pitches are not marked so you find your own spot in the woods and despite being a large site there still there are plenty of secluded corners. Really pretty site with ponies and cattle wandering through adding to the atmosphere. For the children it is great with lots of woods, a small stream and a huge field to explore. It felt very safe. Toilets and showers were good and despite it being really really wet they were kept impressively clean. No shop on site, but it's a short walk into the village where there is plenty of choice. Great location to explore the New Forest and the coast. Our first experience of a Camping & Caravan club site and it made us very pleased we joined.

Large site close to Brockenhurst village. Staff very helpful.

Large site close to Brockenhurst village. Staff very helpful. Don't expect to fill your motor home water tank by normal hose as these Forest campsite taps have a smaller (20mm) diameter threaded end. Next stop, B&Q to find a suitable connector!
