    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 90 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can see puffins, seal pups and dolphins.

Worth Noting

Most pitches have sea views and there is a large picnic area overlooking the coast. There is a large Sunday market/car boot sale every week at East Fortune ten miles from the site.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Belhaven Fruit Farm is four miles from site and Dunbar High Street has an organic greengrocer and a good butcher selling locally reared meat.

What a beautiful site so scenic and easy walk down the lane to a lovely unspoilt beach this site is a haven for walkers and cyclist as it is on the John Muir way and yo can walk for miles along the coastal trail of John muir way or cycle the quiet lanes into the lovely town of Dunbar,.The staff are so friendly and helpful at this site and go out of there way to help out,The only thing this ste needs is a repeater for the internet as you can only get a signal if you sit by the reception area which is not very good if it is raining,,so please could we have a repeater ,one on top of the shower block would probably be ideal for all .,we are going back to this site again next year loved it so much ,

First visit for us and not the last.Friendly staff, great washrooms, spacious site. But the bonus for us was the great on-site dog walk.Extremely well kept, lots of space, fab views and LOTS of bins.(Although one or two chose NOT to clean up for reasons known only to themselves)Great walks from the site or 5min drive down to the beach and coastal path.Asda in Dunbar was not too far to drive for everything you need. All in all,a perfect few days, and the good weather was a bonus. Thanks to all.

this was my first stay at the new dunbar site.

This review is for Dunbar

this was my first stay at the new dunbar site. (I once stayed at the old site before joining the club & to be honest didnt enjoy it that much.) What a great site this is I was made to feel so welcome on arrival & was given a pitch for my tent overlooking the bay at dunbar & out to bass rock. The grass areas are well kept & site cleanliness is second to none. I would recommend this site if you need somewhere to just sit, chill out & do nothing or if you like exploring there are fantastic attractions near by great walks & just down from the site a lovely beach with picnic area. I cant wait to return again & keep exploring. For those who just want to pop to shops Dunbar is a lovely town with friendly people & a good variety of shops. All in all a place to meet all tastes.
