Overview

  • Campsites next to or within walking distance of a beach

    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 90 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can see puffins, seal pups and dolphins.

Worth Noting

Most pitches have sea views and there is a large picnic area overlooking the coast. There is a large Sunday market/car boot sale every week at East Fortune ten miles from the site.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Belhaven Fruit Farm is four miles from site and Dunbar High Street has an organic greengrocer and a good butcher selling locally reared meat.

The site has the most picturesque dog walk of any campsite I've been on.

The site has the most picturesque dog walk of any campsite I've been on.The beach is only 10 mins away and is very clean, the town is great with friendly locals, plenty other attractions like Concorde only 30 mins away. My only fault is that the roads on site are not made up but guess what is being done this season yip new Tarmac roads,Dunbar will be strong contender for site of the year. Meant to say Disabled facilities are brilliant, and the staff are as well.
